QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Can I use Mascara?

I don’t recommend it, plus you won’t need it. Mascara contains oils and will act as debonder to your extensions which means they won’t last and if you have 2D or volume extensions mascara will damage your fans.(they won’t stay fluffy and soft).

How do I take care of my Eye Lash Extensions?

DO NOT rub, pull your extensions or scratch your eyes. Refrain from using make-up removers and cleansers containing oils. I recommend a Lash extensions cleanser such as: Chrissanthie Eye Lid Cleaner/Cascade Eye lid cleanser to cleanse lashes and remove make-up.

How long do the extensions last?

Each extension is bonded to a single natural lash. If you take proper care of your extensions they can last between 4 and 6 weeks.

Why do I need to come for fills?

Your natural eye lash growth cycle is between 30 and 90 days. This means that your older lashes will fall out (and with them the extension which is attached to them) and a new lash will grow in it’s place. A fill is needed to apply new extensions to the new natural lashes. When you come in for a fill the therapist will also remove extensions which have grown out, giving you a neat and fresh look.

Can Eye Lash Extensions be applied to sensitive skin and eyes?

It should not be a problem but always inform your therapist of any skin/eye conditions. The bonding liquid does not come into contact with your skin and there is a special glue that can be used for people with sensitive eyes.

Are Eye Lash Extensions water resistant?

Yes, you can swim and exercise with your lashes.

What must the client do before coming in for Eye Lash Extensions?

Cleanse your eyes/natural lashes, make sure your eyes are make-up and mascara free. Also if your wear any contact lenses please remove it prior to your appointment.

Do my eyes need a break from extensions?

No! You do not have to take a break unless your therapist recommends it. This will only happen if your therapist thinks it is the best interest of your natural lashes (especially if you pulled your extensions). The therapist can then suggest a 4 week break.

How do I remove the Lash Extensions?

It is NOT safe to pull on your extensions as your natural lashes will be plucked out with them. You should come in for a professional soak off treatment which will take more or less 30 minutes.

What is the difference between Volume Extensions and Classical Extensions?

With Classic Extensions we use one extension (0.15/0.20 thickness) for one natural lash. The therapist can only give you the amount of volume equivalent to your natural lash count. Volume Extensions is a softer and lighter (0.03, 0.05, 0.07) lash of which 2-8 lashes are applied in a fan to the natural lash. This means your natural lashes will appear quadrupled, giving you a lot more volume.
